Job Description and Requirements

We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

You have spent enough time in technical sales or business development to know that the best opportunities are not handed to you, they are uncovered through persistence, curiosity, and the ability to ask questions that make an engineer stop and think. You understand that selling engineering software is not about pushing products, it is about understanding what keeps a design team up at night and showing them a path forward that makes sense for their specific problem.

You are comfortable walking into a room where you might be the only non-engineer and holding your own. You can translate technical capability into business value without oversimplifying or losing credibility. When an account goes quiet, you do not wait for it to warm up again, you pick up the phone, do the research, find the angle, and create the conversation.

Prospecting does not intimidate you. Cold outreach, account mapping, digging through LinkedIn to find the right contact, these are tools in your kit, not tasks you avoid. You know that building a pipeline means doing the work before the work, the research, the planning, the follow-up that most people skip.

At Synopsys, you will own real accounts in a growing market, and what you build here will directly shape how the Thailand business grows.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own and grow a portfolio of existing customers in our market, identifying upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities across product lines and use cases
• Prospect and develop completely new customer relationships through outbound research, cold calling, email outreach, digital engagement, and face-to-face meetings
• Research target industries, accounts, and buying centers in the market to map whitespace opportunities and expand coverage beyond the current customer base
• Uncover customer pain points, technical challenges, and decision criteria through discovery conversations, then position Synopsys solutions with clear value and differentiation
• Build and maintain account plans and prospecting plans in CRM that capture relationship maps, opportunity intelligence, next actions, and accurate forecasts
• Partner with marketing, channel partners, technical teams, and sales leadership to execute seminars, webinars, campaigns, and customer engagement programs that generate qualified pipeline
• Write proposals, quotations, and business communications that are clear, accurate, and aligned to customer needs and internal approval processes

The Impact You Will Have

• Expand Synopsys revenue in the market by converting dormant accounts, winning new logos, and growing wallet share within existing customers
• Increase market coverage and visibility by bringing Synopsys solutions to companies and industries that have not yet engaged with the portfolio
• Build a sustainable pipeline of qualified opportunities that contribute to predictable revenue growth and long-term business development in the region
• Strengthen customer relationships by acting as a trusted advisor who understands their technical challenges and business goals
• Accelerate time to close by delivering well-researched, well-positioned opportunities to technical and commercial stakeholders
• Contribute market intelligence and customer insights that help shape go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and demand generation efforts in our market
• Create repeatable prospecting and account development practices that can scale as the business grows

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field with at least 1 year of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing technical roles
• Demonstrated understanding of engineering analysis, simulation, or technical software, you need to be credible in conversations with engineers and technical decision-makers
• Fluency in English and Thai, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with customers, partners, and internal teams
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within Thailand for customer meetings, events, and account development activities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage your own pipeline, and follow through without constant oversight
• Experience with CRM systems for tracking accounts, opportunities, activities, and forecasts is a plus
• Knowledge of Ansys products, pricing, or the Thailand engineering and manufacturing market is a plus

Who You Are

• You can walk into a customer meeting with an engineer, a procurement lead, and a VP in the room and adjust your message on the fly so each person hears what matters to them
• You do not take silence as rejection, if an account goes cold or a lead does not respond, you find another angle, another contact, or another reason to re-engage
• You are disciplined about pipeline hygiene, your CRM reflects reality, your forecasts are honest, and you do not let opportunities sit without a next step
• You treat prospecting like a skill to be practiced, not a chore to be avoided, and you are willing to do the unglamorous work of research, outreach, and follow-up that builds a real pipeline
• You ask good questions, the kind that uncover budget, timeline, technical fit, and decision process without feeling like an interrogation
• You are comfortable operating in a market where you may need to educate customers, build awareness, and create demand, not just respond to inbound interest
