Back End Data Architect and Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity:

As a back-end developer, you know that a good site or system needs the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to develop a user-focused solution. We are seeking an expert-level back-end architect to strengthen and scale our mission data-processing systems. This role is central to advancing high‑volume dataflow reliability, back-end performance tuning, and distributed system resilience for critical mission platforms.

In addition to core back-end responsibilities, this engineer will work on software stacks that directly support digital network intelligence workflows, enabling analysts and mission operators to execute and accelerate critical cyber missions.

In this role, you’ll make a mission-forward impact as you expand your skillset and career. Work with us as we shape systems for the better.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

• Experience with Apache Kafka for distributed event streaming, Elasticsearch for indexing, search, and cluster performance optimization, and PostgreSQL for schema design, tuning, and large-scale query optimization
• Experience designing or scaling systems that process large amounts of structured and unstructured data
• Experience with distributed systems fundamentals such as concurrency, data modeling, observability, durability, and failover patterns
• Experience enabling or supporting cyber mission workflows, signals or dataflow systems, or digital network intelligence processes
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• 8+ years of experience with engineering production
• Experience working with mission systems, cyber operations tooling, or intelligence support platforms
• Experience with other components of our stack such as Go services, microservices architecture, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines
• TS/SCI clearance
