Circle Lead – North East

Own the Region. Build the Future of Tech-Enabled Retail.

Mission Brief: Lead Lenskart's Most Exciting Growth Frontier

The North East is one of Lenskart's fastest-growing and most strategically important markets — and we're looking for the leader who will own it completely. This isn't a management role. This is a founder's mandate: full P&L ownership, a high-performance team to build, and the rare opportunity to shape how an AI-powered, omnichannel retail brand scales in a dynamic, underpenetrated market.

You will operate at the intersection of on-ground execution and intelligent retail — using real-time data, AI-assisted selling tools, and technology-driven insights to drive decisions that most retail leaders still make on instinct. If you've been waiting for a role where your actions move markets, this is it.

🎯 Core Mandate

1. Business Performance & P&L Ownership Own topline revenue, profitability, and unit economics across the region — with full accountability for outcomes. Drive same-store growth through conversion rate improvement, ticket size expansion, and repeat customer behaviour. Use store-level performance data and AI-driven insights to identify high-potential micro-markets and unlock new growth pockets ahead of competition.

2. AI-First Sales Strategy & Execution Define and execute a sharp, data-informed offline sales strategy — not just on gut feel, but grounded in real-time performance signals. Leverage Lenskart's technology stack including AI-assisted selling tools, demand forecasting at the store level, and live dashboards to drive precision execution across every store in your circle. Build a culture of accountability where numbers are owned, tracked, and acted upon daily.

3. Team Leadership & Capability Building Build and lead a high-performing bench of Area Managers and store teams. Create a culture where goals are clear, ownership is celebrated, and performance is rewarded. Invest in capability development across sales, customer experience, and tech-enabled operations — turning your circle into a talent factory for Lenskart's next generation of leaders.

4. Customer Experience & NPS Own end-to-end in-store experience and NPS for the region. Champion a customer-first operating model through regular store immersion, structured feedback loops, and rapid response to experience gaps. Ensure every touchpoint — from the moment a customer walks in to the moment they leave — reflects Lenskart's promise of premium, accessible, tech-enabled eyecare.

5. Operational Excellence & Intelligent Efficiency Maximize store productivity through smart staffing, AI-supported planning, and continuous operational improvement. Drive inventory discipline, cost efficiency, and process rigor — not through micromanagement, but through systems thinking and data-led decisions. Identify gaps fast and close them faster.

6. Market Intelligence & Expansion Stay deeply embedded in local markets, competition, and consumer behaviour. Translate on-ground intelligence into expansion strategies — identifying where to grow next, how to win faster, and what Lenskart's customers in the North East need before they know it themselves.

7. Brand Custodianship & Tech-Led Retail Be the guardian of Lenskart's brand in the region — premium, accessible, and unmistakably differentiated. Ensure every store delivers a seamless blend of retail and technology: from AI-assisted dispensing and omnichannel journeys to data-driven clienteling. Champion an insight-led, tech-first operating culture across every team you lead.

🧠 The Mindset We're Looking For

Owner, Not Manager. You feel the P&L personally. You move fast, take decisions with incomplete information, and course-correct without being told.

Data-Led, Ground-Rooted. You love being in stores and markets — and you equally love opening a dashboard to understand what the data is telling you. You don't choose between instinct and intelligence. You use both.

Builder at Heart. You're energized by building — teams, systems, culture, markets. You leave places meaningfully better than you found them.

Tech-Forward Leader. You're genuinely curious about how AI, data tools, and technology can make your team smarter and faster. You don't wait for tech to be handed to you — you ask for it, learn it, and push for more.

High-EQ People Leader. You build trust fast, give honest feedback, and create environments where people grow. Your team's success is your scoreboard.

📋 What You Bring

• 8–14 years of experience in retail, QSR, or consumer businesses — with a demonstrated track record of managing multi-store, multi-city operations

• Proven P&L ownership with consistent, measurable growth delivery

• Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments where ambiguity is the norm

• Strong commercial instincts combined with comfort using data and digital tools to drive decisions

• A reputation as a talent builder — someone who grows teams and creates future leaders

⚡ Why This Role — Right Now

Lenskart is not a traditional retailer that's "experimenting" with technology. We are a tech company that happens to have one of India's largest and fastest-growing retail networks. The North East is at a genuine inflection point — high growth, high potential, low saturation. The person who takes this role will have a direct line of sight from their daily decisions to the company's most exciting growth story.

You won't be executing someone else's playbook. You'll be writing it — with the full backing of Lenskart's proprietary tech stack, AI tools, supply chain infrastructure, and a leadership team that rewards bold thinking and fast action.

This is the role for someone who wants to be known for building something remarkable.

Lenskart is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diverse perspectives and are committed to building a team that reflects the markets we serve.
