At Lion, we’re not just about brewing exceptional beverages – we’re continually looking for smarter, more efficient ways to get our products where they need to be.

As a Logistics Data Analyst (Internal Job Title is Network Optimization Analyst)  based at The Pride Brewery, you’ll join our NZ Warehouse & Distribution team for a Permanent Full Time opportunity and use data, technology and analytical thinking to solve real operational and commercial problems across our logistics network.

This is a hands-on analytical role for someone who enjoys tackling complex problems, working with data and building solutions. You’ll have the opportunity to analyse our warehouse and transport network, develop models and decision-making tools, identify value opportunities and see your work directly influence business decisions.

You don't need to arrive as a supply chain expert. We're looking for technical capability, curiosity and the drive to make things happen – we'll help you build the operational knowledge.

What You’ll Do:

• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify performance, optimisation and value-creation opportunities across our warehouse and transport network.

• Build analytical models, tools and visualisations that turn complex data into clear, decision-ready insights.

• Use tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python or R to solve problems, automate analysis and improve how we use data.

• Support network optimisation across areas including transport, warehousing, route design, capacity and cost-to-serve.

• Take ambiguous business problems, interrogate the data, test hypotheses and help develop practical solutions.

• Work with operational and cross-functional teams to understand challenges and translate analytical findings into meaningful recommendations.

• Continually look for opportunities to improve our analytical capability, tools and ways of working.

What You’ll Bring:

• Strong technical and analytical capability, developed through professional experience or tertiary experience in a quantitative field.

• Experience using analytical or programming tools such as SQL, Python, R, Power BI or similar. You don't need to be an expert in all of them.

• The ability to work with complex datasets and develop structured solutions to unstructured problems.

• Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity – you're interested in understanding why something is happening, not simply reporting what happened.

• A proactive, self-starting mindset and willingness to find a way forward when the answer or process isn't immediately obvious.

• The ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• A desire to continually develop your technical capability and use it to create meaningful business impact.

Supply chain or logistics experience is beneficial but not essential. Technical capability, curiosity and problem-solving potential are more important to us.

What You’ll Get in Return:

• Growth on Tap – Unlock career development opportunities and the chance to work on impactful projects that fuel your professional growth.

• Hunt as a Pride – Work with a diverse, talented team where collaboration, creativity, and shared success are at the core of everything we do.

• Unleash Your Potential – Training and support to help you grow both personally and professionally, empowering you to reach your full potential.

• Employee Product Allowance – Enjoy some of our awesome products, on us!

Over the first 18 months, you'll gain exposure to a broad portfolio of optimisation initiatives and have significant opportunity to expand both your technical capability and understanding of how data drives commercial decision-making.

Not sure if you meet all the criteria?
If you’re excited by the role and believe in our values, we encourage you to apply – even if you don’t tick every box. We’re excited to hear what you bring to the table and how you can contribute to the team.
