ODD Systems and The Fourth Law are leading technology developers focused on the future autonomous robotics revolution. Autonomous robots will transform dozens of multi-trillion dollar industries over the next 10 years. We bring together leading engineers, scientists, and managers to localize production and research, contributing to the strategic autonomy of the European continent.
We are looking for a person to launch and manage our Eindhoven office from an administrative stand point. You will have a chance to grow the company from scratch and take part in the development of cutting edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own the end-to-end launch of the Eindhoven office: premises search, lease and fit-out; IT and facilities; the Dutch entity's operational presence; local vendors; building and health-and-safety compliance; and onboarding logistics for the arriving team.
• Serve as a director of the local legal entity. Own local vendor search, negotiation and management coordinating: accounting services, legal services, payroll etc. Coordinate with group functions (Finance, Legal, HR) on the entity, contracts, budget and hiring logistics for the Dutch base.
• Own the standup of the R&D lab: procure, schedule, install and commission equipment; manage contractors and suppliers to a fixed date and budget.
• Run the launch as a programme: milestones, dependencies, budget, risks and a disciplined delivery cadence; report progress to the Business Unit Head and CTO; keep both office and lab on time and on budget.
• Own procurement, supplier and contractor management for the base and lab — equipment, build works and services — from quotes and contracts through delivery, installation and acceptance.
• Interface with the Netherlands ecosystem and authorities — Brainport, PhotonDelta, NFIA / RVO, Invest-NL and municipal / permitting bodies — and support the EU-grant beneficiary positioning of the Dutch entity, in coordination with group Legal and Finance.
• Establish the practical operating infrastructure of the site — facilities routines, lab operations, access, documentation and safety — and hand a running office and lab to the team.
• A hands-on experience in administrative management including ownership of all back-office functions
• Strong project delivery: scope, schedule, budget, procurement, contractor and supplier management, risk and reporting; comfortable owning a hard deadline.
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Eindhoven; on-site presence is core to the role.
• Fluent English, with the communication maturity to work with an international team
• Working Dutch
• Entrepreneurial and pragmatic; comfortable with ambiguity and building from zero without bureaucracy.
It’s a plus if you have:
Experience standing up a semiconductor, MEMS, photonics or microfabrication lab, or another regulated high-technology facility.
• Familiarity with the Netherlands / Brainport ecosystem, Dutch permitting and facilities, and with EU public authorities, investment agencies or grants.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment procurement, installation and commissioning — vacuum, thin-film deposition, wafer bonding, test and characterization, and cleanroom infrastructure.
• Experience establishing a new site's or entity's operational presence across borders.
• Health-and-safety / EHS and quality familiarity for laboratory environments.
