About Halter

At Halter, we’re on a mission to enable farmers and graziers to run the most productive and sustainable operations. Our customers are using Halter to break free from the time-intensive constraints of conventional practices. Imagine watching 500 cattle stand up and walk calmly towards their next break? No quad bikes, no dogs, no fences. Just a group of cattle walking at their own pace. People say it looks like magic. Our customers are revolutionizing grazing with Halter. It's changing lives and transforming an industry. People join Halter to do meaningful work. By joining us you’ll be solving challenging problems within a talented team and a culture built for high performance. Our team out-think, out-work and out-care. We’re committed to delivering real change in the world - this isn’t easy, and in truth, we love that it’s hard.

We’re backed to deliver on a mission that matters by Tier 1 investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, BOND, DCVC, Blackbird, Promus Ventures, Rocket Lab’s Peter Beck and Icehouse ventures.

We're searching for an exceptional marketing leader to grow Halter in Argentina and Uruguay - one of the biggest cattle regions in the world. You’ll be building recognition for Halter’s brand that reaches every farming community, with revenue performance to match. We're making our first moves on the ground and we need a senior leader to build the marketing foundation and be part of our core team.

This role is a key driver of full-funnel revenue performance: acquisition, expansion, and retention, all through marketing. You're not running events and content on instruction or directive from HQ. You are accountable for the local marketing strategy to achieve our revenue outcomes. That means thinking like a revenue owner first, and a marketer second.

Your job is to make sure marketing shows up as a genuine lever across that whole funnel: helping win new farmers, and also feeding the stories, proof points and community that keeps existing farmers expanding and retained. You, in tight collaboration with go-to-market leadership, will build this strategy, build the team to deliver against it, and own the demand and pipeline that drives Halter's growth for years to come.

We want you to own marketing for this region. You will have full support from Halter’s global marketing team based in New Zealand HQ, with the brand and strategic frameworks you need to do your job - think of this as our DNA and standardised thinking and that lets every region move fast without reinventing the wheel. We are building the feedback loop to take your feedback and wins, and globalise them, to make Halter’s marketing brilliant in all of our key markets. But ultimately the buck stops with you in Argentina and Uruguay - acquire, expand and retain the best farms in one of the best farming regions globally.

Who we are looking for:

• A full-funnel revenue thinker, not a channel specialist. You've owned acquisition, expansion, and retention outcomes, not just top-of-funnel demand generation. You think in pipeline and revenue contribution first, achieved through strategically driving brand awareness

• Deeply customer-led. You're energised by time on farm with cattle farmers, and you turn that firsthand understanding into commercial decisions such as messaging, proof points, and channel choices, not just generic content ideas.

• A builder and world-class operator. You will build and lead a high-performing, efficient team, ideally with experience scaling a marketing or growth function in a fast paced environment. You will be comfortable rolling your sleeves up and playing ‘executor’, while also knowing the right time to give space to your team to win (or loose) and learn from that experience

• Genuinely commercial. You’re not just comfortable being measured on a revenue number - you demand it from yourself and your team. You move fast on real bets, you’re allergic to decisions not backed by data, and you thrive on seeing real results in real time.

• First-principles by instinct. You use Halter's global frameworks because they're smart, not because you're told to, and you know exactly when the local market demands something different, and can make that case with evidence, not opinion.

• A strong operator across both brand and demand. You’re equally comfortable in a tone-of-voice conversation and a CAC/ROI conversation, and you’re able to move between the two with ease

• Comfortable with ambiguity. You'd rather own the outcome and figure out the path than wait for a fully specified brief.

• AI-forward as a default operating mode, not a tool you occasionally reach for. You and your team use AI to draft and iterate content, personalise outreach at a scale a human team couldn't match manually, and analyse campaign and funnel data faster than a traditional team would. You treat headcount as a last resort after you've pressure-tested what AI can already do, not the other way around.

What the role looks like:

• Strategy & ownership: Own the marketing strategy and budget end to end, setting the vision and the plan to take Halter from early-market entry to category leadership and one of our largest revenue markets.

• Organic growth & content. Build content that compounds: SEO-driven farmer resources, owned channels, and organic social that establishes Halter as the trusted voice in cattle, not just a paid acquisition function.

• Events strategy. This sits at the heart of our territory manager regional model. You'll partner with sales leadership to decide which field days, expos, and farmer gatherings actually move pipeline in AU, and how they connect directly into the territory manager's patch and pipeline, not run as a separate marketing calendar.

• Case studies & proof. Build a library of farmer stories and results that do double duty: acquisition proof points for new farmers, and expansion/retention proof points for existing ones.

• Paid traffic. Work with the global Performance Marketing function running paid channels in-region with a sharp eye on customer acquisition costs (CAC) and pipeline contribution, not just reach or impressions.

• Enterprise motion. Support and drive the enterprise/larger-account pipeline in AU specifically, where the buying committee, proof requirements, and sales cycle look different from owner-operator farms.

• Accountability for the numbers: Own and report on pipeline, CAC, brand awareness and the complete revenue picture. Marketing is one of the most critical levers that sits right across the funnel, so it’s expected you will design the marketing strategy around each metric from acquisition through to net dollar retention.

• Brand and tone of voice in-region. Use Halter's global brand as the foundation, and make the judgment calls on how it lands with Argentinian and Uruguayan farmers specifically: language, imagery, humour, what plays and what doesn't in this market.

• Objection handling through stories, not just spec sheets. Build ROI case studies and compelling storytelling, delivered through the right channels at the right point in the funnel, that neutralise the objections AU farmers actually raise (price, proof, switching risk), not generic feature messaging.

Humans are wired for connection. Being office first is a core pillar of our culture because in-person connections drive your growth, learning, impact, and relationships. Strong relationships make it easier to disagree, give feedback, and do meaningful work together.

We're office first, not office only. Working from the office is our default, but we flex when needed. We have a high-trust culture where everyone is trusted to do what's best for Halter.

Our office vibe is special, the high energy and spectacular people make work enjoyable. Your growth and impact are unlimited here, coming from solving problems, innovating, and constantly learning from each other.
