About the Role

You will gain hands-on experience in the daily insurance operations including underwriting support, claims processing, contact center support, and policy owner services. You also will be responsible for delivering standard reports on periodic basis as required by the business for operations, regulatory, statutory purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

Underwriting Support:

• Gain hands-on experience in underwriting processes, systems, and operational workflows while developing practical capabilities in Document Check, GIO, and ADD products through OJT and certification.
• Enhance key professional skills, including communication, teamwork, organisation, and professionalism, to support success in a dynamic work environment.

Claims Processing (Corporate Solutions):

• Provide administrative and operational support to the Claims Department, ensuring smooth day-to-day processes.
• Assist with data management, reporting, documentation, and claims-related system activities while gaining hands-on exposure to claims workflows.
• Support process improvement initiatives through user feedback, documentation reviews, and other operational enhancement projects.

Claims Processing (Life Claims):

• Support claims intake, documentation validation, and the timely update of claim statuses in internal systems.
• Collaborate with claims analysts to facilitate efficient claim processing and ensure accurate tracking of claims throughout the workflow.

Policy Owner Services:

• Assist in processing policy changes, updates, and cancellations in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support the management of customer correspondence and service requests to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Pre Authorisation

• Coordinate and manage job or case assignments based on priorities, workload, and team capacity to ensure balanced distribution, while maintaining accurate and timely records.
• Provide operational support including reporting, handling eligibility checks and provider enquiries, coordinating PA decisions, and supporting continuous learning through cross‑training and skill development.

Note: There are several internship positions available across various departments. Your role will be assigned based on your interests and suitability.

Job Requirement:

• Preferably an undergraduate in the penultimate or of a Business Administration, Insurance, Medical Science, Bioscience, Biomedical, or health science‑related program
• Must be proficient in both written and spoken English
• Excel academically with minimum CGPA 3.00 or second class upper or equivalent
• Minimum internship duration would be 12 weeks or above
• Compulsory internship placements required by university
• Candidate with proficiency to converse in Mandarin / Cantonese would be an added advantage
• Willing to be based at IOI City Tower 1, Putrajaya.
