About the Team

DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt are one global team building the future of local commerce. Our products power millions of interactions between consumers, merchants, and couriers every day, in cities around the world. Together, we’re combining global scale with deep local understanding to deliver what’s next. At DoorDash, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across all three brands. We’re looking for students completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree to begin their engineering careers with DoorDash. You’ll help build and operate reliable, scalable technology that improves the experiences of consumers, merchants, and delivery partners across our global platform. Our Engineering team tackles complex technical challenges across a global, three-sided marketplace -  from creating intuitive product experiences to designing the infrastructure and backend systems that help local commerce thrive.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

You’ll work alongside a mentor, manager, and experienced engineers while contributing to real products and systems. As you build your technical knowledge, you’ll take on increasing ownership and see how your work affects the people and businesses using our platform. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

• Develop, maintain, and ship production-ready software with support from your mentor and team
• Write clean, testable code and contribute to code reviews, version control, and engineering best practices
• Learn the systems and technical areas your work contributes to, including how they operate at scale
• Apply feedback and coaching to strengthen your technical skills and problem-solving approach
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners to solve problems for consumers, merchants, and delivery partners

We’re excited about you because you have…

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, graduating between Fall 2026 and Summer 2027
• At least two previous software engineering internships or equivalent practical experience, with no more than two years of full-time professional experience
• Experience using at least one object-oriented programming language, such as Python, Java, or Kotlin
• A solid understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Experience working with databases and technologies such as SQL
• Experience writing clean code, using version control, and creating unit tests

Nice to Have

• Curiosity about using AI-powered tools to support software development, problem-solving, and learning, alongside an understanding of how to evaluate their outputs and use them responsibly
• Experience analyzing and improving the efficiency, scalability, or stability of software systems
• Interest in developing, releasing, and operating large-scale web applications
• Familiarity with systems monitoring, live deployments, or continuous integration
• Experience solving real-time technology problems
• Familiarity with service-oriented architecture, API development, or systems design

Why You’ll Love It Here

You’ll begin your career by contributing to technology used in the real world every day, with mentorship and support from experienced engineers. As your skills grow, so will the scope of the problems you can own. You’ll learn how large-scale systems behave in production, see the impact of what you build, and work with teammates across different disciplines, countries, and brands.
