Job Description

At Avery Dennison, we are "Making Possible." We are seeking a Production Machine Operator who is mechanically curious, takes ownership of their equipment, and thrives in a performance-driven environment.

Located in the Greenfield industrial corridor, our facility is easily accessible from I-70, making it a quick 20-minute commute for talent coming from East Indianapolis, Shelbyville, or Anderson. If you are looking for a high-paying role outside the heavy traffic of Marion County, this is your next career move.

Your Impact

As a Production Machine Operator of our manufacturing lines, you will:

• Lead Machine Operations: Perform set-ups, changeovers, and monitor equipment to meet production targets.
• Troubleshoot & Improve: Identify root causes of malfunctions rather than applying "band-aid" fixes.
• Ensure Precision: Use tape measures and tools to maintain close tolerances and "zero-defect" quality.
• Drive Safety & Teamwork: Prioritize a safety-first mindset and step in to help coworkers meet site goals.

What You Bring

• Accountability: You take pride in your work and learn from every challenge.
• Technical Aptitude: You enjoy understanding how machines work.
• Adaptability: You can pivot quickly when production priorities shift.
• Reliability: You are dependable and value a consistent attendance record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED OR 3+ years of manufacturing experience.

• Lifting: May require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds 50% of your shift.
• Environment: May require being comfortable working in an environment with varying temperatures.

Important Note:

• Reasonable Accommodations: We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities. If you require any accommodations to perform the essential functions of this job, please let us know during the application process.
• Pre-Hire Medical Questionnaire: Upon accepting a role, you will be required to complete a pre-hire medical questionnaire. This is a standard procedure to ensure your ability to safely perform the job's physical demands and to identify any potential health concerns.
• Falsification of Medical Information: Falsifying information on the medical questionnaire is a serious offense and may lead to disciplinary actions up to and including termination.

Additional Consideration:

• Safety: We prioritize the safety of all our employees. We provide comprehensive safety training and a safe working environment.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or other protected status. If you require accommodations to view or apply for a job, alternative methods are available to submit an application. Please contact (440) 534-6000 or NA.TA.Operations@averydennison.com to discuss reasonable accommodations.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment, Avery Dennison requires all final candidates to successfully complete a comprehensive background check and a drug screening.
