… roles in network
Find roles through people you trust, and tell a company you're interested with a private signal.
A signal privately tells Glimpse you're interested. It is not a job application.
ABOUT GLIMPSE
Glimpse is the leading AI platform for CPG brands — automating critical back-office workflows like deductions management, revenue recovery, and cash application. Since launching in April 2024, we've grown from 0 to 200+ customers, raised $52M from investors including a16z, 8VC and Y Combinator.
Our AI agents retrieve deduction data, validate charges, automate cash application, and dispute invalid claims — work that would take a full-time employee years to complete. For a $1B CPG brand, a single Glimpse agent reviewed 17,000 deductions in under 24 hours, identifying over $10M in recoverable revenue.
We're building the next-generation suite of services for consumer brands and are looking for exceptional people to help us scale.
Our client-facing operation runs tight. The inside of the company needs to catch up, and this role exists to close that gap. As Head of Business Operations and Finance, you will own three things: the operating rhythm the leadership team is held to, the financial model the founders and board plan against, and the internal machinery that makes Glimpse as seamless to work in as it is to buy from. A finance analyst reports to you from day one.
You report to the COO and sit in the room for every decision that matters.
This is not a chief of staff role and it is not a support role. You will have opinions, make calls, and own outcomes. Most of what you build here does not exist yet, and the systems you put in place will outlast you.
Own the operating rhythm. Run annual and quarterly planning, goal-setting, and the weekly and monthly business reviews that keep the company honest. Build the scorecards leadership runs on. When a function misses its number, you are the one who notices first and says so.
Build and run the financial model. Own the operating model, forecast, budget, headcount plan, and runway. Run variance against plan every month. Prepare board materials with the founders and make sure the number in the deck is the number in the model.
Lead the finance function. Manage the finance analyst from day one. Own the relationship with outsourced accounting, the monthly close, AP and AR, and corporate spend. Set the controls and the calendar so the books are right and on time without anyone chasing them. Lay the groundwork for a VP Finance when the company needs one.
Make the inside run like the outside Own internal systems, tools, vendors, and process. Find the friction between Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and People, and remove it before it slows anyone down
Be the decision-support function. Pricing, unit economics, deal and bonus pool mechanics, comp cycle modeling, and whatever analysis the founders need before a call that matters. You will partner closely with the People function on anything with a dollar sign attached.
Take the problems that don't have an owner. New initiatives, pilots, and the cross-functional work that falls between functions. Scope it, run it, hand it off.
6+ years of experience, starting in investment banking, private equity, strategic finance, or strategy consulting, then in-house at a venture-backed company between Series A and Series D
You have owned a forecast, operating model, or budget, not contributed to one. You can walk us through a model you built and defend the assumptions
You have run an operating cadence a leadership team was held to: planning, reviews, scorecards, and the follow-through when a number was missed
You have prepared board materials and know the difference between a slide that informs and a slide that decides
You have managed at least one direct report, or have a clear record of mentoring analysts and are ready to
You write clearly. A memo from you does not need a meeting to explain it
Experience in or selling into CPG, food and beverage, beauty, or consumer brands
Familiarity with deductions, trade spend, cash application, or retailer payment cycles
B2B fintech, payments, or vertical SaaS background
Prior chief of staff, Head of Business Operations, or Director of Strategy and Operations title at a company under 200 people
High ownership. You don't just advise, you drive the work to completion.
Systems thinking. You can reason about messy workflows and design something scalable, not
one-off.
Backbone. You will tell a founder their number is wrong, with the evidence, and then help fix it.
Low ego. You are as comfortable reconciling a vendor invoice as you are presenting to the
board, and you know both matter.
Fast learner. You ramp into new domains and tools quickly. Deductions and trade spend will be
new vocabulary for most candidates; that's fine, as long as it isn't for long.
You'll join a company that has found genuine product-market fit and is scaling fast — with the infrastructure, capital, and team to match. Your work will directly shape how hundreds of CPG brands run their back office. And you'll have real ownership.
