What You Do.

Business Domain Ownership

• Primary focus areas include Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Food Safety, Plant Systems, Operational Technology (OT), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Industrial IoT, SAP manufacturing processes, and related integrations.

Solution Architecture Leadership

• Lead end to end solution architecture for complex, cross functional initiatives and enterprise programs that deliver meaningful business outcomes.
• Serve as the hands-on architecture lead for the manufacturing domain, owning solution designs and technology roadmaps from concept through implementation.
• Design scalable, sustainable solutions that align with enterprise architecture principles, technology standards, and long-term strategic goals.
• Partner closely with business and IT stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable technology solutions that balance value, risk, and performance.
• Present architecture options, tradeoffs, and recommendations in a clear, business focused manner to support informed decision making.

Manufacturing Solution Design & Technical Excellence

• Ensure solutions meet critical nonfunctional requirements, including security, performance, resiliency, scalability, and data integrity.
• Identify and proactively manage architectural risks, technical debt, and integration complexity to support long term success.
• Apply expertise in application, integration, API, and data architecture patterns to create connected, efficient solutions across the enterprise.
• Design secure, resilient solutions that connect plant-floor systems and operational technology with enterprise applications, integration services, and cloud data platforms.
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of architecture standards, reference patterns, and future state solution designs.

Architecture Governance & Delivery Influence

• Lead solution architecture reviews and guide delivery teams through architecture governance processes, keeping decisions practical, timely, and connected to implementation.
• Drive solution level architecture decisions within established enterprise guardrails.
• Partner with architecture review boards and design authorities to evaluate standards, patterns, and exception requests.
• Influence technology direction and enterprise architecture decisions through collaboration and thought leadership.

Collaboration, Mentorship & Enablement

• Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, project teams, and technology partners throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Potentially mentor Associate Architects and provide architectural guidance to delivery teams, helping elevate technical capabilities across the organization.
• Foster strong collaboration across agile and hybrid delivery teams to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.

 

Your Education and Experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of technology experience, including technical leadership, solution design, architecture, or enterprise application delivery.
• Experience working in enterprise environments with multiple applications and integrations preferred.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations, plant systems, quality or food safety solutions, operational technology, or digital manufacturing initiatives is strongly preferred.

• Ability to balance immediate business needs with technical constraints and long-term sustainability.

Communication & Leadership Skills

• Stakeholder management and influence skills, with the ability to drive alignment without formal authority.
• Strong documentation, facilitation, and communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to analyze complex information, solve problems, and develop practical, business focused recommendations.
