About us
Different is a marketing system that runs demand generation for B2B companies. It handles campaign creation, personalization, and optimization in one place, so lean teams can do more without adding headcount, agencies or point AI solutions. Customers use Different to launch campaigns faster, reach the right buyers, and continuously improve marketing ROI. Between them, Different’s founders have founded two unicorns, led AI at a global marketing software giant, and built platforms used by millions. They bring deep product, technical, and business experience to one shared goal: reimagining how modern marketing works. We are backed by General Catalyst and Lightspeed.
The role
You'll work directly with our customers to understand what they're trying to achieve and get campaigns into the market using Different. For each customer, you'll build an approach, launch it, and improve it as results come in. You don't need to be a marketer. You can learn how channels and campaigns work here.
What you'll work on
Customer strategy: learn a customer's business, audience, goals, and what makes them stand out.
Campaign development: turn an open-ended goal into a clear campaign idea, message, and plan.
Execution: build and launch campaigns in Different, using AI to move quickly and your own judgment to check output.
Performance and iteration: look at the results, work out what they mean, and recommend what to try next.
Customer leadership: lead customer conversations and explain your thinking to senior stakeholders.
Repeatable systems: turn problems you see more than once into playbooks, tools, or AI workflows for future customers.
Product feedback: bring what you learn from customers back to Product and Engineering.
What we're looking for
- Comfort with numbers and good creative instincts.
- Clear writing and speaking, good questions, and the ability to build trust with customers.
- Willingness to make a call with incomplete information and change it when you learn more.
- A track record of owning something through to a real outcome.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools, including workflows you've built yourself.
- Interest in learning a new domain quickly and doing the hands-on work as well as the thinking.
Relevant experience may include:
- Consulting or investing.
- Startups, product, research, or operations.
- Writing or creative work.
Your background could also be somewhere we haven't thought of.
Why this is interesting
You'll stay with each customer from the first conversation through launch and results. Problems you see across customers can turn into new playbooks, AI workflows, and product features.
