About the Role
AIR is looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to join our propulsion engineering team and contribute to the development, integration, and testing of advanced electric propulsion and power systems for next-generation aircraft.
The role combines hands-on electrical engineering with system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with mechanical, avionics, and software teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and integration of electric motors and motor controllers.
- Lead and support testing and performance evaluation of electric motors, motor controllers, and power systems.
- Perform system integration activities across electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical and system-level issues and drive them to resolution.
- Participate in the development and improvement of electrical architectures and interfaces.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support prototype builds, laboratory testing, and integration activities.
- Work with suppliers and external partners as needed.
Requirements
Must Have
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in electric engineering.
- Strong experience with electric motors and motor controllers.
- Experience in power electronics and electrical power systems.
- Hands-on experience with system integration, testing, and validation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with complex multidisciplinary systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Advantages
- Experience in the Aerospace, eVTOL, UAV, Electric Vehicle, or automotive industries.
- Experience with high-voltage electrical systems.
- Familiarity with aircraft electrical systems or aerospace certification standards.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
