The challenge

We are looking for a cloud-focused SysAdmin to administer, maintain, and evolve the platforms the organization runs on, in a 100% cloud environment on AWS. The primary focus of the role is operating and maintaining infrastructure and platforms—compute, networking, storage, and identity—with high availability, reliability, and sound operational practices. This is a hybrid role with a strong operational security component (similar to a Blue Team profile, but from the administration side): hardening, patching, access management, and responding to infrastructure events. You are not required to be a Blue Team expert, but you should be comfortable applying security controls and collaborating with the security team day to day. You will work autonomously on a globally distributed team, with a direct impact on platform stability and security posture. RESPONSIBILITIES Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS CDK) and configuration management (Ansible) Monitor platform health using observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana) and respond to availability and performance alerts Manage backups, disaster recovery (DR) strategies, and business continuity Administer cloud networks: VPCs, subnets, routing, DNS (Route53), VPNs, and hybrid connectivity Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and on-call procedures Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting (Python, Bash) Carry out the server, AMI, and container patching and hardening cycle in accordance with benchmarks (CIS) Manage Security Groups, NACLs, and network access controls in accordance with the principle of least privilege Collaborate with the security team to remediate vulnerability findings (AWS Inspector, scanners) Maintain infrastructure logging and auditing (CloudTrail, VPC Flow Logs) and support responses to platform security events Securely manage secrets and credentials (AWS Secrets Manager, SSM Parameter Store)

• Experience: 4 years in similar roles
• English: Basic-intermediate
• Previous experience in tech startups, e-commerce, or marketplaces (desirable)
• Experience in agile squads and remote-first environments (desirable)

Tech profile

What you need to master

• 4+ years of experience as a SysAdmin, Cloud Engineer, or Platform Engineer
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows Server system administration.
• Strong experience operating infrastructure on AWS: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling
• Experience with containers and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS)
• Infrastructure as code: Terraform or AWS CDK; configuration management (Ansible preferred)
• Scripting and automation: Python and Bash
• Knowledge of cloud networking: VPC, subnets, routing, DNS, VPN, Security Groups, NACLs
• Experience with observability and monitoring: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana
• Operational security fundamentals: hardening, patching, least privilege, access and secrets management
• Experience participating in on-call rotations
