About the role

Following our successful expansion into the U.S. and continued growth across Europe, we are seeking a backend-leaning Senior Full Stack Engineer with 5+ years of experience to help drive our Engineering function from our Barcelona hub, joining one of our product teams building an AI-powered platform for clinical research.

Running a clinical trial involves many complex, high-stakes workflows that still depend on manual work and disconnected tools. Our platform brings them together into structured, auditable products, with AI built in to remove friction and speed up decisions.

You'll own features end to end: from understanding the user problem and shaping the solution, to domain services, APIs, asynchronous AI workflows and the screens our users rely on every day. You'll work in a small, autonomous team that ships to production frequently, with AI agents as part of how we design, build, test and review software.

It's a great fit for someone who thinks like a product engineer, cares about outcomes as much as code, and wants their work to help get treatments to patients sooner.

Who We're Looking For

A senior engineer with a product engineering mindset: you ask why before how, measure success by user impact, and take ownership from idea to production. Technically, you bring deep C#/.NET and PostgreSQL experience on the back end and solid React with TypeScript on the front end. You think in clean boundaries, are comfortable with event-driven systems, and already work in an agentic way, directing AI coding agents to move fast without lowering the quality bar.

Key Responsibilities

• Own product features end to end, from problem framing and solution design to production and follow-up on user impact.
• Partner with product, design and AI specialists to shape what we build, not only how.
• Design and build backend services in C#/.NET following clean architecture and CQRS principles.
• Model data and write performant, secure PostgreSQL schemas, queries and migrations in a multi-tenant environment.
• Build asynchronous, event-driven workflows that integrate AI capabilities reliably.
• Design and evolve RESTful APIs with clear OpenAPI contracts.
• Develop responsive front-end features in React and TypeScript.
• Deploy and operate cloud-agnostic services on Kubernetes, with observability built in from day one.
• Practise agentic software development: plan, delegate and review work done by AI coding agents, keeping code tested and production-ready.

✅ Must-haves

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack or Back-End Engineer.
• Product engineering mindset: ownership of outcomes, user empathy and pragmatic trade-offs.
• Hands-on agentic software development with tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot agents.
• Strong C#/.NET Core experience building production services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, query performance and versioned database migrations.
• Clean or hexagonal architecture, CQRS and domain-driven design.
• Event-driven systems with message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Kafka or NATS, including reliable messaging patterns (outbox, idempotency).
• Solid React with TypeScript for front-end development.
• RESTful API design.
• Containerised services running on Kubernetes.
• Git-based workflows and code review.

• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, and building portable, vendor-agnostic services.
• Entity Framework Core.
• Identity and access standards such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect and JWT.
• Multi-tenant data isolation, for example row-level security.
• Observability with OpenTelemetry and structured logging.
• Modern React tooling such as TanStack Query, React Hook Form, Vite and Storybook.
• Integrating LLM-based features or AI pipelines into products.
• Experience in regulated domains such as life sciences, healthcare or finance.
