Your mission

The role
As an Accountant, you enter as one of the first members of our finance team. You will work directly with our Head of Finance & Business to run the day-to-day books of Vesoma Ltd in Odoo and to define our finance processes as we scale. This is a full-time, permanent role based in our Limassol office, reporting to the Head of Finance & Business.

Key responsibilities

• Bookkeeping: Record all transactions of Vesoma Ltd in Odoo and keep the ledger clean and up to date. Process supplier invoices and prepare payment runs for approval.
• Reconciliations & Month-End: Reconcile bank accounts, cards and intercompany balances every month. Post accruals, prepayments and fixed-asset entries, maintain the asset register and prepare monthly management accounts.
• Tax & Payroll: Prepare Cyprus VAT returns and VIES declarations, and handle payroll calculations and entries.
• Customs & Imports: Work with customs clearance agents and freight forwarders on imports and exports of parts and equipment - check declarations, duties and import VAT, and book them correctly.
• Audit & Year-End: Prepare schedules and documents for the year-end audit and our tax advisors, and act as the day-to-day contact for the audit.
• Cost Tracking: Set up and maintain analytic accounts in Odoo (cost centers, projects and R&D programs) so costs can be tracked by team and project.
• Controls & Policies: Follow and improve our controls (invoice approvals, payment authorization, document filing), and help draft and maintain finance policies such as expense rules, approval limits, capitalization and cost allocation.
• Group Consolidation: Support the consolidation of Vesoma Ltd and Vesoma GmbH - align the charts of accounts, match intercompany balances and prepare elimination entries.

Your profile

Who we are looking for

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on accounting in Cyprus, in a company or an accounting firm.
• Core Skills: Hands-on Cyprus accounting with practical Odoo experience. In detail
  • Odoo: Practical experience keeping books in Odoo.
  • Cyprus Tax & Reporting: Working knowledge of Cyprus VAT, VIES and IFRS.
  • Qualification: A degree in accounting or finance, plus ACCA or a similar qualification (completed or in progress).
  • Languages: Fluent English, written and spoken.
  • Industry: Background in a tech or R&D company
