About the Role:

Help us protect CrowdStrike and its customers from the most advanced threats!

You'll be among the founding members of a new Security Engineering team based in Romania — an opportunity to shape how we grow our capabilities regionally and build a team culture from the ground up.

As a Security Engineer in Cybersecurity specializing in IAM – you will play a critical role in ensuring the security of our multi-cloud-native Falcon platform. Identity and Access are foundational to our customers’ trust – and you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining access systems that protect this trust. This dynamic, collaborative role will expose you to industry-expert engineers across the whole Product organization, and give you hands-on in-depth experience with our scaled, event-driven, distributed infrastructure.

We believe in “One Team. One Fight.” – and our team reflects this. You will be empowered to make decisions, apply your deep expertise, and have your voice heard. We will trust you to get the job done and chase our mission without someone looking over your shoulder.

What You’ll Do:

• Drive IAM lifecycle operations for the product platform, and support emergency incident response to protect CrowdStrike and its customers

• Design, implement, and maintain access control solutions for our multi-cloud, global platform

• Ensure performance, reliability, and usability of access systems across thousands of services and users

• Manage security risk and governance for identity and access – including least-privilege control design, threat modeling, verification, and audit

• Develop scripting and automation solutions to streamline access operations and integrations

• Advise cross-functional stakeholders on their projects – ensuring security alignment while building deep relationships with product and engineering leaders

• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in IAM and cybersecurity to continuously improve our security posture

What You’ll Need:

• Expertise in cloud IAM services (e.g. AWS IAM, Azure Entra, GCP IAM, OCI IAM)

• Experience deploying access provisioning and governance systems (e.g. just-in-time, self-service, zero trust, service mesh)

• Strong understanding of core IAM technologies (e.g. SSO, federation, directory services, MFA) and authentication protocols (e.g. SAML, OIDC, Kerberos)

• Proficiency in scripting and automation to ease IAM operations and integrations (e.g., Python, Bash, Go)

• Experience operating at scale and complexity in services and users

• Knowledge of security fundamentals, threat modeling, and risk management

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to analyze complex scenarios and develop appropriate solutions

• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

Bonus Points:

• Demonstrated ability to run projects with diverse stakeholders and ensure successful delivery in a fast-paced environment with teams that engineer products and bring them to market

• Experience with Cloud-scale, business-critical Linux and/or other Unix-like variant environments

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, SaltStack, Ansible)

• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory design and management

• Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR)

• Familiarity with cloud security and experience securing cloud-based applications and services in AWS, GCP, OCI, and/or Azure Cloud environments
