Your Opportunity

You'll help build systems critical to Universal's current and future operations, responsible for handling billions of dollars of trading volume. You'll join during a period of rapid growth and help shape resilient systems that can handle the growing pains that come with the territory. You'll be at the vanguard of a new era in financial technology, and help find solutions to problems we don't even know exist yet.

What you'll do

• Build and own scalable services responsible for reliable and secure APIs that transfer value and assets across all blockchain protocols
• Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

Requirements

• You spend your free time learning new things, and have a demonstrated interest in DeFi and financial technology
• You have 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems
• You take security seriously
• We work mostly in Typescript, Go, Rust, and Python. However, languages can be learned: we care much more about your general engineering skill than knowledge of a particular language or framework

Nice To Have

• Familiarity with Coinbase Developer Platform, Prime Trading and Custody systems
• Experience with offensive security in crypto and finance
