Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect – Financial Services to help customers define and execute their cloud modernization and technology transformation strategies.

This role combines deep technical expertise, strategic consulting, and strong customer engagement capabilities. The successful candidate will work closely with financial institutions to understand their business priorities, assess existing technology environments, and design innovative cloud, data, and AI solutions that deliver measurable business value.

As a trusted technical advisor, you will engage with senior business and technology stakeholders, providing architectural guidance, developing modernization roadmaps, and supporting customers throughout their cloud adoption journey.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in enterprise cloud architecture, database technologies, and infrastructure modernization, along with a strong consulting mindset and an understanding of the challenges facing the financial services industry.

  Key Responsibilities 1. Cloud Architecture & Technology Modernization

• Design and recommend scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective cloud architectures aligned with customer business and technical requirements.
• Assess existing enterprise infrastructure, databases, and application environments to identify modernization opportunities.
• Develop cloud migration and modernization strategies, including hybrid and multicloud architectures.
• Provide architectural guidance on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), enterprise databases, data platforms, and related cloud technologies.
• Support technical discovery, architecture design, proof of concepts (POCs), and implementation planning.

2. Strategic Consulting & Customer Advisory

• Act as a trusted technology advisor to financial services customers, helping them navigate complex technology decisions.
• Develop a deep understanding of customers' business models, technology landscapes, and strategic priorities.
• Lead consultative discussions with CIOs, CTOs, enterprise architects, infrastructure leaders, and other senior stakeholders.
• Translate business challenges into actionable technology strategies, architectural recommendations, and transformation roadmaps.
• Independently develop and present technical proposals, solution recommendations, and business-oriented architecture presentations.
• Evaluate architectural alternatives and recommend solutions based on business value, technical feasibility, scalability, and operational requirements.

3. Financial Services Industry Expertise

• Understand the technology and business challenges of banks, insurance companies, fintech organizations, and other financial institutions.
• Identify opportunities to modernize mission-critical platforms and improve operational efficiency, scalability, security, and resilience.
• Provide architectural recommendations that consider regulatory requirements, data protection, business continuity, and industry-specific technology standards.
• Support customer initiatives involving digital banking, core systems modernization, enterprise data platforms, and cloud transformation.
• Stay informed about emerging technology trends and their potential impact on the financial services industry.

4. Customer Engagement & Solution Development

• Partner with Sales and technical teams to support strategic customer engagements and cloud opportunities.
• Lead technical workshops, architecture discussions, solution demonstrations, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Develop compelling technical and business value propositions tailored to customer needs.
• Guide customers through the solution lifecycle, from initial discovery and architectural assessment to adoption planning.
• Build long-term relationships with technical and executive stakeholders, establishing credibility through technical expertise and business understanding.

5. Data, AI & Emerging Technologies

• Identify opportunities to leverage enterprise data platforms, analytics, and artificial intelligence to address business challenges.
• Collaborate with customers to define data-driven and AI use cases that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Recommend architectural approaches for integrating cloud, data, and AI capabilities with existing enterprise environments.
• Support customers in evaluating emerging technologies and their applicability to financial services use cases.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Technical Leadership

• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and other technical teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Coordinate with internal specialists to address complex architectural and customer requirements.
• Contribute to the development of reference architectures, technical presentations, solution guides, and best practices.
• Share technical knowledge and industry insights with internal teams and customers.
• Continuously develop expertise in cloud infrastructure, enterprise databases, data platforms, AI, and emerging technologies.

 

Required Qualifications

Cloud Architecture & Enterprise Technology

• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise cloud architectures using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or other major cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cloud migration, hybrid cloud environments, and technology modernization.
• Solid knowledge of enterprise database technologies, including architecture, integration, scalability, performance, and modernization strategies.
• Ability to assess complex technology environments and translate technical requirements into practical architectural solutions.

Consulting & Customer Engagement

• Experience in technology consulting, professional services, solution architecture, or customer-facing technical advisory roles.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with enterprise customers and senior technical stakeholders.
• Strong consultative approach, with the ability to understand business challenges and develop independent technology recommendations.
• Experience leading technical discussions, workshops, architectural assessments, and solution presentations.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences.

Financial Services Industry

• Experience working with customers or technology initiatives within banking, insurance, fintech, capital markets, or other financial services organizations.
• Understanding of the technology challenges associated with regulated environments, mission-critical systems, data security, and operational resilience.

• Advanced English proficiency, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Database technologies and modernization of Oracle-based enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of enterprise data strategy, data architecture, analytics, and data platform modernization.
• Exposure to AI, machine learning, or generative AI use cases in enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives within financial services.
• Familiarity with cloud security, governance, regulatory compliance, and resilience requirements in financial institutions.
• Relevant cloud architecture certifications from Oracle, AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience developing technology transformation roadmaps and business cases for cloud adoption.
