About the role

We're looking for a Vice President of Sales, Mid-Market (Europe) to take full ownership of our European mid-market commercial business.

This is a senior sales leadership role with direct responsibility for revenue generation, team performance, market expansion, and the overall commercial strategy across the European pharmaceutical and life sciences mid-market.

You'll inherit an existing team of four Mid-Market Account Executives, with a mandate to scale the organization to 10+ sales professionals as the business continues to grow.

You'll own a multimillion-dollar annual revenue target, with responsibility for consistently delivering year-over-year growth across the segment.

We're looking for someone who combines deep clinical technology industry knowledge with a track record of building high-performing SaaS sales teams, particularly within data-driven technology solutions serving pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences customers.

This is a hands-on leadership position. We're not looking for someone who simply manages a number. We want someone who can build the strategy, develop the team, get involved in complex opportunities, and ultimately scale a significant revenue-generating business.

What You'll Be Doing

Commercial Leadership & Revenue Ownership

• Own the overall European mid-market sales strategy, execution, and annual revenue performance.
• Take full accountability for a multimillion-dollar annual revenue target, driving consistent year-over-year growth.
• Lead commercial expansion across European pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences organizations.
• Build and execute territory strategies to maximize market penetration, pipeline generation, and customer acquisition.
• Maintain accurate revenue forecasting, pipeline visibility, and commercial performance reporting.
• Partner closely with executive leadership to establish ambitious but achievable revenue targets and growth strategies

Team Leadership & Organizational Growth

• Inherit and lead an established team of four Mid-Market Account Executives across Europe.
• Scale the commercial organization to 10+ sales professionals through strategic hiring, onboarding, and performance development.
• Establish a high-performance sales culture built around accountability, ownership, and consistent execution.
• Coach and mentor Account Executives through complex sales cycles, executive-level negotiations, and strategic opportunities.
• Implement scalable sales processes, performance metrics, and operating rhythms to support continued expansion.
• Identify future sales leaders within the organization and build a sustainable leadership structure as the team grows

Strategic Selling & Market Expansion

• Drive new business acquisition across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and emerging life sciences organizations throughout Europe.
• Support the team in navigating complex enterprise-style sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, technical evaluations, and commercial negotiations.
• Build relationships with senior decision-makers across Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, R&D, Data Science, and Digital Transformation.
• Leverage an understanding of clinical technology, big data, and SaaS platforms to position Biorce's solutions against traditional approaches to clinical development.
• Partner with Sales Development, Marketing, Solutions Consulting, and Product teams to accelerate opportunities and improve conversion.
• Identify emerging market opportunities, customer trends, and strategic partnerships that can contribute to revenue growth

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves

• Significant commercial experience within the clinical technology, eClinical, clinical development software, or broader pharmaceutical technology ecosystem.
• Demonstrated experience selling big data, data-driven SaaS, AI-enabled platforms, or complex data software solutions into pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences organizations.
• Proven experience leading and scaling B2B SaaS sales teams, ideally across multiple European markets.
• Track record of personally owning and delivering against multimillion-dollar annual revenue targets.
• Experience managing existing sales teams while building out larger, high-performing commercial organizations.
• Strong understanding of how pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies evaluate, purchase, and implement complex technology solutions.
• Experience navigating complex, consultative sales cycles involving senior stakeholders and multiple buying groups.
• Strong commercial judgment, forecasting discipline, and the ability to translate ambitious growth targets into executable sales strategies.
• Willingness to remain hands-on with strategic deals while developing and managing the broader team.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience working at leading clinical technology or life sciences SaaS organizations such as Medidata, Veeva, IQVIA, Clario, Oracle Health Sciences, or similar companies.
• Background selling clinical data platforms, real-world data/evidence solutions, clinical trial software, or AI-driven life sciences technology.
• Experience scaling a European sales organization from fewer than five representatives into a double-digit team.
• Established relationships with senior pharmaceutical and biotechnology decision-makers across Europe.
• Experience operating within a high-growth, venture-backed technology company.
• Familiarity with European pharmaceutical markets, including the UK, DACH, Nordics, France, Benelux, and Southern Europe.

What success looks like

First 6 Months

• Drive measurable improvements in pipeline generation, deal execution, and revenue performance.
• Recruit and onboard additional high-performing sales professionals.
