Job Description and Requirements

We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

You are someone who gets energized by the moment when a piece of software you built actually clicks for the person using it. Not when it compiles without errors, but when an engineer on the other side of the world opens your application and their workflow just got easier. You have learned that the hardest part of building useful tools is not the technical implementation, it is understanding what people are actually trying to accomplish.

You think in systems, but you communicate in plain language. When a customer describes a problem, you can hold the technical architecture in your head while also tracking what they really need versus what they think they need. You ask clarifying questions that get to the root without making people feel interrogated.

You do not wait for perfect information before you start building. You sketch out a solution, validate the approach with the people who will use it, and iterate based on what you learn. When something does not work the way you expected, you dig into why instead of just trying a different approach and hoping it sticks.

You care about craft. You write code that someone else can pick up six months from now and understand. You document not because someone told you to, but because you know that good documentation is a gift to your future self and everyone who comes after you.

At Synopsys, you will find a place where the applications you build get used by engineers solving real problems.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and build full stack web applications using Python, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS that integrate simulation technologies into customer engineering workflows
• Develop backend services and RESTful APIs that connect frontend interfaces to Python-based automation engines, including PyAnsys libraries where applicable
• Work directly with customers and internal Synopsys teams to translate engineering requirements into working web solutions that fit their actual use cases
• Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate code generation, improve UI/UX prototyping, debug more effectively, and increase test coverage

• Contribute to code reviews, write clear documentation, and help maintain code quality standards across development projects
• Participate in technical demos and customer presentations to show case solutions, gather feedback, and support adoption of new capabilities

The Impact You Will Have

• You will deliver web applications that make complex simulation workflows accessible and usable for engineers who depend on them to meet project deadlines
• Your backend services and APIs will enable automation that saves customers hours of manual configuration and data handling per project cycle
• The solutions you build will directly influence how customers adopt and scale simulation-driven design processes across their engineering teams
• Your collaboration with product teams will surface real-world usage patterns that shape roadmap priorities and improve tool usability based on actual customer needs
• Your containerized deployments and CI/CD pipelines will reduce release cycles and improve reliability for customer-facing solutions
• You will bridge the gap between advanced simulation technology and practical engineering workflows, making powerful capabilities accessible to users who are not simulation experts
• Your contributions to code quality and documentation will raise development standards for the team and accelerate onboarding for future engineers

What You'll Need

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of professional software development experience, or a Master's degree with relevant project or internship experience
• You bring strong proficiency in Python for backend development, including hands-on experience with Python-based web or UI frameworks
• You have working knowledge of frontend development concepts and UI/UX principles, with the ability to translate user needs into functional interfaces that people actually want to use
• You are comfortable using Git for version control in a collaborative team environment where multiple people are working in the same codebase
• You have a solid understanding of core backend and infrastructure concepts, including RESTful API design, network fundamentals, and database systems, enabling you to effectively contribute to robust, full-stack application development.
• You communicate clearly in written and spoken English and can explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders without losing the important details
• Experience with the Ansys software ecosystem ,PyAnsys, or similar scientific and engineering application domains is a plus, as is familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines

Who You Are

• You can sit with a customer or internal stakeholder, listen to what they are trying to accomplish, and walk away with enough clarity to start building without needing every detail spelled out in advance

• When you review code or see a UI that does not quite work, you speak up with specific suggestions instead of just noting that something feels off, and you do it in a way that helps the team move forward
• You manage multiple threads at once without dropping details, a bug fix, a new feature request, and a deployment can all be in flight and you know exactly where each one stands
• You are comfortable working across time zones and cultures, adjusting your communication style so that nothing gets lost in translation and everyone stays aligned
• You test your own work thoroughly before handing it off because you know that catching issues early saves everyone time downstream and builds trust with the people depending on your code
• You are genuinely curious about how simulation and engineering tools get used in the real world, and that curiosity makes you ask better questions and build better solutions

The Team You'll Be Part Of

You will join the Ansys Customer Excellence team, working at the intersection of engineering simulation, modern software platforms, and AI-enabled solutions. This is a technical role where you will collaborate with customers, internal product teams, and engineers across geographies to shape how simulation technologies are integrated into scalable, cloud-native platforms. Your recruiter will share more about the team structure, current initiatives, and collaboration model during the interview process.

Rewards and Benefits

We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process.

At Synopsys, we want talented people of every background to feel valued and supported to do their best work. Synopsys considers all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, military veteran status, or disability.
