Max Buchan is the Founder & CEO of Valarian. Max started his career as the first employee at CoinShares working for the co-founder & CEO. In the space of 18 months, CoinShares went from ideation to over $55M in revenue and an AuM approaching $2B. The company quickly yet organically grew to almost 200 employees at its peak, and later IPO’d on the Nasdaq at a market capitalization of $1B+ USD. It was the experience of CoinShares opening offices in London, NYC, Paris, Stockholm and Jersey that inspired Max to tackle the significant and growing problem of digital sovereignty when it came to international law. Given the growing complexity, Max founded Valarian to address these issues. Max studied History and Economics at the University of London, and made the Forbes 30 under 30 list for European Technology.
