Guillaume Lample is co-founder and chief scientist of Mistral AI. Previously, he was a research scientist at Meta's FAIR, where he contributed to the original LLaMA models and researched language modeling and unsupervised machine translation. He completed his PhD at Sorbonne University, following master's studies in artificial intelligence at Carnegie Mellon and mathematics and computer science at École Polytechnique.
